I watched the red carpet for a while to see the gowns.

I didn't watch it no TV service where I live. Our antenna broke.

I only saw the movie Captain Phillips. I thought Tom Hanks did a great job! I've heard mixed reviews about Gravity. 12 Years a Slave wouldn't appeal to me. I like Matthew McConneghy so I'm glad he won and his co star, Jared Leto too. AIDES is a very emotional subject and difficult to portray.

I did enjoy them. Loved Ellen and the selfie photo and the pizza thing.

Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams and Sandra Bullock's dresses were so elegant - simple in red for Jennifer and blue for Sandra and Amy.

I saw quite a few of the movies and while Kate Winslett was touted as a winner by the media beforehand, that was the only movie I did not see that all the Best Actresses were nominated for. For that I was disappointed.

For supp actress, I thought Julia and the lady in Nebraska were v.g.

While I did not like American Hustle, I thought all the actors and actresses portrayed in their parts perfectly in making them annoying - and if that was their goal, they were successful.

Besides Amer Hustle, Between my husand and I, we saw:
Gravity
Capt Phillips
12 Yrs a Slave
August: Osage Cty
Nebraksa

Thanks for the giveaway.

Got to remember to post using I.E. as for some reason on Mozilla my email appearing as gmail is incorrect. Oh well. LOL.

I loved the gowns, agreed with most of the winners and wondered why older actresses refuse to age gracefully..

Many of my favorites won. Loved Lupita's speech. I was hoping Leo would pull an upset, but hopefully he'll get his Oscar in the near future.

I didn't watch the Oscars but I did read about the winners. It's good to see Cate Blanchett and Matthew Mcconaughey win. If the photos I saw were an accurate representation, it looked like most folks dressed especially elegantly this year--lots of beautiful gowns and classic tuxes without very many off-the-wall choices.

I did enjoy Gravity and Captain Phillips, didn't see the others so can't judge who should/shouldn't have won. I was happy to see Matthew McConneghy won, and liked his acceptance speech.

I enjoyed watching the Oscars, especially the fashions. Ellen's monologue was good, but some of the silly bits in the audience stretched on too long. The musical performances were wonderful, especially Pink's and Idina Menzel.

I am once again devastated about Leonardo DiCaprio not winning, but then again he is one of those actors that doesn't NEED an Oscar to be legendary! Matthew McConaughey was a fabulous pick, even though I cried inside a little when Leo got up to hug him :'( lol!

Enjoyed Ellen's monologue (a few zingers, but nothing over-the-top rude), glad Ellen had fun with all the big stars she often has on her show (showing how comfortable everyone was with each other), thought it cute re pizza delivery/tips, glad Brad did the "selfie" photo since he was in the "front row", felt that Ellen broke up the long night quite well with her constant audience comments, wished the insurance company would have allowed Pink to do her high-wire act while singing (but enjoyed her performance nonetheless), was touched by lots of speeches (especially Jared Leto's and Matthew McConaughey's), always enjoy Jennifer Lawrence and Sandra Bullock with their "girl next door" attributes (plus they looked so lovely), was surprised but glad that nobody clapped (like usual) during the In Memorium segment, and was thrilled to hear that at 88 years of age, Angela Lansbury is returning to the London stage!

I saw Gravity and Dallas Buyers Club, and both of these movies won a load of awards.. I was a little disappointed that Sandra Bullock did not win... But other than that I thought the show was just okay.. Ellen was good, but I think the best host ever was Billie Crystal.. Would love to see him come back as the Host and Hugh Jackman did a great job too..

We ended up watching none of it! We were stuffing our faces to celebrate DD's birthday instead ;) I hadn't seen any of the movies nominated for Best Picture this year, alas...

Unfortunately I didn't watch them. I did watch some things on you tube.
